Amy Lee Massie MS, LPC
Helping Parents and Young Children Thrive Together
Who I Am
I’m Amy Massie, MS, LPC, an early childhood therapist specializing in play therapy and parent support for children ages 1 to 5. I work with families navigating big emotions, challenging behaviors, and daily routines during the years when early support makes the greatest difference.
My work focuses on helping young children build regulation, flexibility, and emotional safety through play, while supporting parents with practical strategies they can use at home and in everyday life.
My Approach
I blend child centered play therapy with solution focused, behavior based intervention. Play is a child’s primary language, and therapy uses play to understand behavior, practice skills, and strengthen connection.
Parents are active participants throughout the process. I provide guidance that is structured, supportive, and realistic, with the goal of helping skills carry over beyond the therapy room.
Training and Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with advanced training in early childhood play therapy and behavioral intervention. I work collaboratively with families, pediatric providers, and educators to support consistency across home, school, and community settings.
My clinical focus includes emotional regulation, transitions, frustration tolerance, social development, and strengthening parent child relationships.
Working With Families and Providers
I value clear communication, collaboration, and practical support. Families often seek my services when they want a focused, structured approach rather than long term, open ended counseling.
My role is to help reduce overwhelm, build understanding, and support steady progress for both children and the adults who care for them.
